Nacht, Verrückt, Shi No Numa & Der Riese Easter Eggs — Solo Guide (Black Ops 1 on PS5)
Every easter egg on the four classic Rezurrection maps in Black Ops 1 Zombies on PS5 — all doable solo. Der Riese Fly Trap easter egg step by step, every musical easter egg (Lullaby for a Deadman, The One, Beauty of Annihilation), and all hidden radios.

Overview
With Call of Duty: Black Ops now natively on PS5, the four World at War classics included in the Rezurrection DLC — Nacht der Untoten, Verrückt, Shi No Numa and Der Riese — are playable on modern consoles again. These are straight ports, so every easter egg works exactly as it did originally.
Can you do these easter eggs solo? ✅ Yes — everything on all four maps is fully solo-friendly. None of these classic zombie maps have a main quest (those started with Ascension). What they have instead: musical easter eggs, hidden lore radios, and Der Riese's famous Fly Trap easter egg.
Nacht der Untoten Easter Eggs
The map that started Call of Duty Zombies has no interactive easter eggs — no musical trigger, no secrets to activate. It's a pure survival map. Enjoy the atmosphere, and note the classic game over music that plays when you die.
Verrückt Easter Egg — "Lullaby for a Deadman" (Musical)
The asylum hides the series' first musical easter egg, and you can trigger it solo in under a minute:
- Find the toilet in the bathroom (on the Speed Cola side of the asylum, down the hall from the perk machine).
- Interact with (flush) the toilet three times in a row.
- Lullaby for a Deadman by Elena Siegman starts playing.
Shi No Numa Easter Egg — "The One" (Musical)
- From the starting hut, head to the Comm Room (the hut with the radio equipment — the same room where the Mystery Box can spawn).
- Find the telephone on the desk inside.
- Interact with it (or shoot it) to trigger The One by Elena Siegman.
Also listen for the hanging man outside the spawn hut and the radio broadcasts — Shi No Numa is where the Zombies storyline first started dropping lore.
Der Riese Fly Trap Easter Egg (Solo, Step by Step)
Der Riese is the most easter-egg-dense of the classics, and the Fly Trap is a proper solo mini-quest. Open the Pack-a-Punch machine first (link all three teleporters to the mainframe).
- Pack-a-Punch any weapon — the Fly Trap only responds to an upgraded gun.
- Go to the courtyard area beyond Teleporter C (the Thompson side of the map). Look through the gate at the back of the map for a small electrical panel/switch on the wall in the restricted area.
- Shoot the switch with your upgraded weapon. A mechanical device lifts off and flies into the sky, and Samantha's voice says she wants to play hide and seek.
- Three of Samantha's toys are now hidden around the map. Find and shoot each one:
- A Monkey Bomb on a high beam/catwalk near one of the teleporters.
- A second Monkey Bomb behind the fence in the courtyard area (visible through the gate near Teleporter C).
- A Teddy Bear inside the furnace room — aim into the flames.
- When all three are shot, Samantha giggles and the hunt is complete.
The Fly Trap is pure lore — no gameplay reward — but it's one of the most iconic secrets in Zombies history and directly sets up the Samantha storyline that pays off on Moon.
Der Riese — "Beauty of Annihilation" (Musical)
Find the three glowing green jars (each containing a brain) scattered around the facility — one in the animal testing lab area, one near the automobile garage, and one close to the furnace. Interact with all three to play Beauty of Annihilation by Elena Siegman.
Der Riese — Hidden Radios
Several radios are hidden around the map (spawn room, catwalks, near the teleporters). Shooting or interacting with them plays Group 935 transmissions from Dr. Maxis — essential listening for the story.
FAQ
Can you do the Der Riese Fly Trap solo? Yes — every step is solo-friendly. You only need Pack-a-Punch open and one upgraded weapon.
Do Nacht, Verrückt or Shi No Numa have a main easter egg quest? No. Main quests didn't exist yet — these maps only have musical easter eggs and lore secrets.
Are the easter eggs the same in the PS5 version of Black Ops 1? Yes. The PS5 release is a straight port with all original DLC available, so every easter egg works identically.
Tips
- On Der Riese, open Pack-a-Punch before hunting the Fly Trap; the switch only responds to upgraded weapons.
- The furnace teddy bear is easy to miss — aim into the fire itself.
- Keep a crawler at the end of a round for stress-free easter egg hunting solo.
