BO7 Zombies: Paradox Junction Easter Egg Guide

Overview

Paradox Junction is the Season 2 Reloaded round-based Zombies map for Black Ops 7 (March 11, 2026). Set inside a Dark Aether pocket, it contains two versions of Nuketown: Normal (pre-nuke 1950s) and Destroyed (post-nuke wasteland). You shift between timelines automatically each round or manually via Temporal Conduits (cost Essence).

The crew was sent here by the Warden as punishment for freeing the Shadowsmiths Veytharion and Caltheris. The Warden has captured the Entity and is weaponizing Ava Jansen's Dark Aether powers. The goal: destroy the Dark Heart, rescue Ava, and escape the Warden's temporal prison.

Killing time was never this much fun! Play gruesome games with the creepy Twins, destroy the Dark Heart and escape the Warden's temporal prison!

Map Quick Reference

  • Perks: Randomized (11 possible). Quick Revive always at the Destroyed Cul-de-Sac bus. Der Wunderfizz appears in Destroyed Trinity Ave. after 4 perks or Round 20.
  • Enemies: Standard/armored zombies, Mimics, Shock Mimics (drop Glowing Hands), Rad-Hounds (explode into radioactive clouds).
  • Loot Cysts: Yellow wall sacs - feed zombie souls to pop them for loot.
  • Pack-a-Punch IV available. Arsenal in both Cul-de-Sacs. Crafting Tables at Normal Trinity Ave. and Destroyed Green House Garage.
  • Nuke Clock: Shooting the clock in Destroyed Nuketown changes the time of day.

Step 1: Pack-a-Punch

  1. Open the Yellow House backyard door (1,250 Essence). Pick up the truck keys from the corpse on the ground.
  2. At Round 6-7, a dog round teleports you to Normal Nuketown. Use the keys on the oil truck to move it, opening the path to Trinity Ave.
  3. Head south to the temporal storm. Shoot the 4 Space-Time Knots (glowing orbs). Each spawns 4 purple-eyed zombies - kill them before the next knot can be damaged. Clear all four to unlock Pack-a-Punch permanently.

Step 2: Build the Blundergat

Triple-barreled shotgun, horizontal pellet spread, one-round mag. Cannot be Pack-a-Punched - must be upgraded to the Sundergat instead.

Part Location
Sealant Normal Yellow House Upstairs - bottom of the bookshelf near the window
Barrel Destroyed Nuketown - feed Loot Cysts (~10 zombie kills each) until one drops it
Hammer Get SO3 Vial from Destroyed Yellow House Upstairs desk → fill at Destroyed Green House kitchen sink to get H2SO4 Vial (3 uses per fill) → pour the acid on all 12 mannequin heads in Normal Nuketown → return to Destroyed and find the one that dissolved - the Hammer is on the ground
Stock Find humming black goo on a wall in Destroyed (Yellow Garage / Green House stairs / Trinity Ave.) → return to Normal and throw an explosive (Semtex) at the matching wall → go back to Destroyed and collect the Stock from inside the hole

Audio Cue Tip: All Blundergat piece locations emit a distinct sound in Destroyed Nuketown. Listen for it near Loot Cysts (Barrel), mannequins (Hammer), and walls with black goo (Stock) — you can track each piece by ear without searching blind. If no sound plays near any mannequin, always try the mannequin behind the fences in the Green House Backyard first.

Assemble at the workbench in the Destroyed Truck Interior (melee to open, then place all parts).

Step 3: Upgrade to the Sundergat

The Sundergat has two charged modes: Sunder Purge (AoE knockdown) and Sunder Exile (focused beam).

  1. After a few rounds in Destroyed Nuketown, a Tortured Zombie spawns surrounded by a fire tornado. Lure it to the red truck / Cul-de-Sac bench. Clear nearby regular zombies first (proximity weakens and kills the Tortured Zombie). Kill it with the Blundergat near the bench.
  2. Repeat for a second Tortured Zombie.
  3. A Tortured Mimic spawns next. Same process - lure to bench, clear area, kill with Blundergat.
  4. Travel to Normal Nuketown, melee the workbench, place the Blundergat.
  5. Return to Destroyed, melee the workbench, pick up the Sundergat.

Step 4: RC-XD Race

  1. Find the RC-XD Controller in Destroyed Nuketown (one of three spots): on a crate near Pack-a-Punch / behind the fences at Green House / on a shelf in the Yellow House Garage.
  2. Interact with it to start the race. Drive the RC-XD through ramps and boosts, follow the track into the house.
  3. Detonate the RC-XD near the red gas tank by the garage door to blow it open.
  4. Walk into the garage and pick up the Head (on a shelf) and the Chalk (on the ground).

Step 5: The Twins Swing

  1. In Normal Nuketown, shoot the swing in the Yellow House Backyard. Pick up the swing seat that drops.
  2. Go to Destroyed Yellow House Backyard, attach the seat to the swing and place the Chalk.
  3. This triggers a scene with the Twins and makes a red box interactable. Pick up the Irradiated Seeds from the red box.

Step 6: Strange Firewood & Fireplace

  1. Plant the Irradiated Seeds near Pack-a-Punch at Normal Trinity Ave. (look for the dug hole by the hedge). Kill zombies with the Sundergat nearby to charge the tree with souls and grow it.
  2. Travel to Destroyed Trinity Ave. and throw Combat Axes at the mature tree to collect Strange Firewood. Keep throwing until the quote "You have a lot now" plays (3 logs).
  3. Return to Normal Yellow House and place the Strange Firewood in the fireplace, then throw a Molotov to light it.

Step 7: Hopscotch & Music Box

  1. In Destroyed Trinity Ave., find and stand on the X on the ground near Der Wunderfizz.
  2. Teleport back to Normal Nuketown to activate the hopscotch game.
  3. Interact with the white orb. Jump from 1 → 12 → back to 1, dodging the black smoke. This drops the Music Box.
  4. Shoot the Music Box with the Sundergat and kill zombies nearby to fill it with souls.
  5. Escort the charged Music Box to the Normal Yellow House fireplace. The screen flashes white when complete.

Step 8: Piano Teacher

  1. In Destroyed Nuketown, find the Piano Teacher zombie at the Green House Backyard. Use Brain Rot ammo mod (or a Psyche Grenade) to turn her.
  2. Follow the Piano Teacher as she runs to the piano inside the Green House.
  3. Teleport to Normal Nuketown and return to the piano. The Piano Teacher unlocks it.

Step 9: Find the 8 Notes

  1. 8 glowing blue notes spawn scattered around Destroyed Nuketown.
  2. Each note blinks a specific number of times - that tells you its position in the sequence (1 blink = first, 2 blinks = second, etc.).
  3. Interact with all 8 notes in ascending blink order (1 through 8).

Step 10: Play the Piano

  1. Return to the piano in Normal Nuketown.
  2. Play the keys in the correct sequence: 8-6-7-5-6-5-3-5 (keys numbered left to right), which corresponds to notes A-F-G-E-F-E-C-E.
  3. Music starts playing and an X appears on the road.

Step 11: Goggles, Headset & Toy Box

  1. Find the Goggles: left of Pack-a-Punch in Destroyed Nuketown, shoot the goggles off the top of a pole. Activate Wisp Tea nearby and have a Wisp zombie pick them up for you.
  2. Find the Cymbal Headset in Destroyed Nuketown (one of three spots): trashcans near Green House / on a table in the Green House bedroom / near the mannequin at the Yellow House Backyard perk location. Use Death Perception to help spot it.
  3. Place both the Goggles and Headset in the blue Toy Box on Trinity Ave.

Step 12: The Basketball

  1. In Destroyed Nuketown, find a basketball on the ground.
  2. Shoot it with the Sundergat to launch it, then switch to any weapon and keep shooting to guide it toward the Green House Backyard where the X mark is.
  3. Once the ball reaches the X, it locks in place.

Step 13: Ball Bouncing & Floating Zombies

  1. In Normal Nuketown, interact with the ball on the X to start a bouncing minigame. Melee the ball to keep it within the white square. Complete the timer to receive a glowing item.
  2. Escort the glowing item to the Toy Box by killing zombies near it with the Sundergat.
  3. Go to Destroyed Nuketown's Yellow House Backyard (face east) and shoot 3 floating zombies outside the map boundaries. Their souls appear next to an X.
  4. Return to Normal Nuketown and stand on the X on Trinity Ave. The bouncing ball launches zombies into the air - kill them all before they hit the ground (4 rounds). Escort the resulting golden soul to the piano using Sundergat kills.

Step 14: The Clock Puzzle

  1. On the roof of the Green House in Destroyed Nuketown, find the large clock.
  2. Shoot the hour and minute hands until both point to 00:00 (12 o'clock position).
  3. Teleport while shooting to lock the hands in position.
  4. Repeat the same process on the matching clock in Normal Nuketown.
  5. This triggers the Twins' movement sequence. Follow the blue orbs in Normal Nuketown and interact with the Twins at the Yellow House Backyard to trigger the boss fight.

Step 15: Boss Fight - The Dark Heart

The arena activates around the Toy Box, fireplace, and piano. Your goal is to destroy the Dark Heart across three phases. Each phase follows the same loop: complete the objective → defend each area → damage the boss.

Phase 1 - Fill the Cysts

Three Cysts spawn in the three areas (Toy Box, fireplace, piano). Kill zombies near each Cyst to fill them with souls - one area at a time. After all three Cysts are filled, defend each location from zombie waves. Once the defense is complete, the Dark Heart becomes vulnerable - focus fire on its weak points with Sunder Exile.

Phase 2 - Shoot the Orbs

Glowing orbs appear around the arena, similar to the Space-Time Knots from the Pack-a-Punch step. Shoot each orb and clear the zombies that spawn from it. After all orbs are destroyed, defend each area again. Once the defense holds, damage the Dark Heart's weak points.

Phase 3 - Fire Tornado Zombies

Tortured Zombies (fire tornado) spawn alongside 3 large Cysts. Lure each Tortured Zombie to a large Cyst and kill it nearby to fill the Cyst. After all three large Cysts are filled, defend one final time. Once complete, the Dark Heart fully exposes itself - unload everything to finish it off.

Once the Dark Heart is destroyed, a cinematic plays featuring the Twins, resolving the Warden/Ava Jansen storyline and concluding the Paradox Junction story.

Tier III Equip Wicked Relic (activate Tier II first) Pack-a-Punch Level IV (100,000 Essence)

Tips

  • Pro tip: optimize early rounds. Building the Blundergat, upgrading to the Sundergat, retrieving the Chalk + Head, Swing Seat, Goggles, and Headset can all be done before Round 15 if you plan your routes efficiently. Get these done early and the rest of the quest flows much smoother.
  • Brain Rot is required for Step 8 (Piano Teacher). Plan your ammo mods.
  • Combat Axes are required for Step 6 (Strange Firewood). Equip them in your loadout.
  • Wisp Tea is required for Step 11 (Goggles). Make sure you have it.
  • Death Perception helps find the Cymbal Headset in Step 11.
  • H2SO4 Vial has 3 uses before you need to refill at the Green House sink.
  • Keep Tortured Zombies isolated - nearby regular zombies weaken and kill them.
  • Pour acid on ALL 12 mannequin heads in Normal Nuketown, then check Destroyed for the dissolved one.
  • Save Sunder Exile for the Dark Heart weak points during the boss fight.
  • 115 Clock is free loot every game. Always do it - just shoot the hands to 1:15.
  • Mini Golf is free every game. Quick power-ups and essence with no downside.

Good luck in the loop.
